How To Rap For Beginner’s Masterclass

About This Class

You can rhyme like Eminem, Tech N9ne, Logic and other top tier lyricists.

This online course is a culmination of the last 17 years of learning hip hop and studying the technical details of how to rap. The course I would have wanted when I was learning how to freestyle, and write good rap lyrics.

Technical Details, Exercises and Examples

Get into the technical details fast, no time wasting on “the power of positive thinking”. You’ll get the technical breakdown, the fundamentals and very intricate explanations. The rest is up to you. This is YOUR journey. Go make some waves.

Go through multiple exercises so you can learn hands-on. That is the best way to get better. To practice. But these exercises and examples will help you practice in the right way.

Why I Picked This Class

This class is great for serious rappers because it focuses a lot on structuring, and other practical aspects you absolutely need to know to be a successful + skilled rapper. The instructor calls himself a “word nerd” and I’d say that’s what you get. Around lesson 10, he starts to tell you the real nitty gritty of making incredible rap music, including practice with gibberish, and different types of poetic meter, something I’d never looked into before. This is DELIVERY, something not every rap teacher stresses, but every listener gravitates to. Highly technical, highly recommended for serious rappers.

About This Class

You can learn how to rap better and improve your rap flow fast by doing the same exercises The Notorious B.I.G. used to get amazing rap flow.

The exercises in the class involve scatting over beats and…

In this class I guide through what scatting is and how to do it in a way that helps you improve your rap skills fast.

This is a fun simple class with exercises most looking for how to rap for beginners miss out on because they are so focused on being lyrical.

These exercises give you the first step to towards finding your best natural flow over beats.

I hope you enjoy these rap exercises.

Thanks for taking my class,

- Pat

Why I Picked This Class

For the beginner’s confidence boost! Pat teaches rap IRL, and this class is filled with the simplest vocal exercises meant to benefit even the complete beginner. He leaves space in the lessons for you to rap, which is nice because you don’t need to pause to practice. Pat isn’t the most dedicated rapper, as most of his songs are a different genre, and is kind of monotone in his classes (ironically), and I think that’s part of the appeal of this course. He makes you feel comfortable, so you are uninhibited from practicing This class is recommended for complete beginners who aren’t yet comfortable with their Rap Voice.

How To Freestyle Rap: Rhythm, Lyrics & Delivery

by Douglas Butner
👉 Link to this Class 🔗

About This Class

In this course, you will develop the skill set to freestyle rap in various styles without running out of bars, even if you have never rapped before. This is a bold promise, but like anything else, freestyle rhyming can be broken down into a few simple steps. I will explain the three components to rapping, then we will talk more about freestyle-specific skills.

1. Rhythm: You will learn to catch any beat by tapping out the quarter notes, then create a simple percussion rhythm which you will then put words to.

2. Lyrics: We will talk about polysyllabic rhyming, wordage (word choice)

3. Delivery: In this lesson, you will play around with your voice to see what it can do, and take a good look at how to deliver consistently

After we cover the three fundamentals of freestyle rap, I will help you to develop multiple flows and improve your delivery, teach you tricks to come up with rhymes and always have subjects to rhyme about in cyphers.

We will cover: Cypher Etiquette, how to Never Run Out of Bars, Tools to Get Going, Finding Beats, Switching Flows, Entering a Flow State, and more.

Relax, get into the vibe, and come with me on this journey through the components of freestyle rap.

Why I Picked This Class

This class will take you from a rapper to a rap artist. This course is about tapping into yourself to rap, then applying a rap formula to go from taps to raps. You’ll learn rhythm, lyrics, and delivery separately to build up a complete skillset. Douglas talks about getting into and recalling energetic states (or flow states,) how to practice smart so you never run out of things to rhyme, and even games to play in cyphers.
